Soaks was up next in excellent and was winning the ring when she went in to do her Honor exercise. Unfortunately there was a little bit of a wait for the next dog and I amped her up a little too much with too many exciting cuddles, meaning that when I stepped away from her while she was needing to stay in her drop, she popped up into a sit, automatically DQing her as well.
This afternoon went a little better, with Squiggle qualifying in the Rally Advanced ring on a score of 90 points. She came in 4th place too on countback which was a nice end to the day. Apparently we were less than a second behind the dog in front of us who also scored 90 but did the course very slightly faster than us.
Soaks also managed to get through the course in the afternoon trial, however she managed to step on some prickles on the way to the honor exercise and even after I pulled them out of her feet, she refused to drop. Poor girl!
Onwards and upwards! That will probably be it for our rally trialing this year, with very few trials left in the NSW calendar. We'll keep training and be back in the rally ring in 2015!
