Unfortunately no luck for Ahsoka in either of the rings - I managed to startle her about 5 steps into our heel work pattern in our CCD run and completely lost her for the rest of her time in the ring. Unfortunately just as I was walking back to the gazebo after that disaster, we got called straight into the Rally ring (which I hadn't had the chance to walk because we were in the obedience ring at the time) and managed to bomb in there too. Poor Soaks! Definitely a lesson learned for next time. No more double trials where both rings are being run at the same time!
Thankfully the day wasn't wasted with Squiggle, just back from having babies, busting out a nice 90/100 score in the rally novice ring for her first RN quallie. I was a little shocked given that I only put her in because I was trialling with Soakies but she managed to keep her head in the game for most of the run (minus having to go and say hello to the judge when she got within boinging distance!) - go Squiggle! Hopefully this will be the first of many for her with her newly found food drive!
It was also lovely to be able to share the day with Liz and Ludo, who traveled all the way to Sydney for the trial! Ludo also had success in the ring, taking home his second RN quallie. Go Ludo!
